• Minimum of three years of experience in building operations or engineering, preferably in an institutional, commercial or industrial environment.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Able to read, interpret and analyze electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics.
• Computer literate and able to operate or learn to operate building automation systems (BAS).
• Able to read, understand and follow complex written and oral instructions.
• Able to stand, stoop, bend, climb and walk for long periods of time.
• Available for emergency call response and flexible scheduling for snow removal and other duties.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license.
• Licensed in EPA Universal Technician Refrigeration.
• Advanced craft training or apprenticeship as an electrician, plumber or HVAC technician.
• Able to work in confined and/or uncomfortable areas.
• Able to lift, carry and move objects weighing over 20 pounds.
• Able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
