EDF Energy Nuclear Generation Ltd Sizewell B Supply Chain Team is looking for an experienced Contract Manager to manage approximately £30m per annum. This pivotal role involves working with key partners, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver refuelling activities that maintain the station and keep customers supplied with electricity.
The OpportunityThe UK nuclear market is competitive, complex and undergoing substantial change with new competitors, evolving technology and demanding clients. Sizewell B is developing at pace with plans to extend operating life until 2055 or beyond. In this role you will work closely with the Contract Lead and Commercial Group Head and be responsible for managing major contracts.
You will be at the heart of the Contract Management team and will be expected to demonstrate commercial leadership, pace, rigour, and drive delivery in contract performance. You will engage closely with Outage Management, Engineering, Procurement and Quality Assurance teams, driving performance, developing relationships with suppliers, and identifying commercial opportunities and service improvements.

What You’ll Be Doing- Manage the performance of key contractors to ensure best value and services in terms of cost, quality, and productivity.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and communicate relevant contractual information as required.
- Identify and implement opportunities and improvements for commercial efficiencies across operational activities and contracts.
- Lead contract negotiations.
- Provide contract‑related issue resolution to supplier disputes or escalations.
- Ensure all processes are in line with legislation and company policies.
- Complete contract close‑out, review contracts for extension or renewal, and assist procurement teams with re‑procurement where applicable.
- HNC or equivalent in a business or commercial discipline.
- Strong experience of Contract Management (preferable).
- Substantial contract negotiation experience.
- Experience working with main and minor contractors.
- Experience in financial control including cost control and related processes (beneficial).
- Ability to deliver information and influence internal & external stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Self‑motivated.
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Strong MS Office skills, ability to work to deadlines and highly organised.
- SAP experience preferred but not essential.
Security vetting:
To be appointed to this role, you will need to meet the criteria for security vetting, which ordinarily requires residence in the UK for at least 3 of the past 5 years.
