This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering complex, high impact nuclear projects that support the transition to Net Zero and strengthen energy security. Working as part of a collaborative project controls team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of major programmes by ensuring accurate cost management and performance reporting. Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Cost Lead in implementing effective cost management systems, procedures and templates
  • Produce and maintain accurate cost reporting including EAC, ETC and ACWP metrics
  • Track actual project costs against defined cost control structures and approved baselines
  • Perform earned value analysis and trend assessments to support programme performance
  • Analyse programme cost data and provide insights to support delivery objectives
  • Support cost re-baselining exercises, forecasts and budget updates
  • Work closely with commercial and finance teams to ensure accurate accruals and contract cost capture
  • Review and analyse change requests ensuring correct cost coding and budget alignment
  • Support project teams in the use of cost tools and provide basic guidance or training
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Degree level education or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and MS Office capability
  • Experience working within Project Controls on major programmes
  • Working knowledge of cost estimating, cost control and cost analysis
  • Understanding of Earned Value Management methodologies
  • Experience interpreting and analysing complex cost data
  • Ability to communicate cost and performance insights clearly to stakeholders
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with cost tools such as PRISM, Eco Sys or Cobra
  • Strong attention to detail in a fast paced environment
