Treasurer

Location - Leighton Buzzard, Hybrid

The Treasurer will play an important role in ensuring Kids Out remains financially resilient and well‑positioned to deliver its mission. You will oversee the effective internal controls in relation to financial integrity and the risk management framework, fundraising and external audit processes. You will provide strategic guidance for the Board and executives in relation to financial matters, planning, governance compliance and guarding of financing and resources.

The Treasurer will have an enthusiasm for numbers and an analytical mindset and help oversee the charity’s financial health, ensuring good governance, compliance and the effective use of resources to achieve our strategic ambitions. Working alongside the Board and executive team, you will have curiosity, sound judgement and a willingness to explore new ideas as part of a collaborative and supportive board.

The postholder will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent), with senior‑level experience in finance, audit or accountancy and a values‑led approach. Someone who understands charity financial governance and diverse incomes, including in‑kind support, who can bring strategic oversight in relation to financial matters such as fundraising. You will be risk‑aware, thoughtful and committed to ensuring that every pound raised is used effectively to deliver outstanding care and support the long‑term sustainability of Kids Out.
