Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and oversight to the Quantity Surveying team, ensuring high technical standards and consistent execution of project measurement and cost‑control practices.
- Lead the verification of construction quantities and physical progress for payment certification and invoice approval.
- Establish, implement, and monitor progress measurement systems to ensure accurate contractor reporting.
- Manage and coordinate all field measurement activities in collaboration with the Construction Management team.
- Maintain and validate detailed field measurement records, calculations, and technical assumptions.
- Oversee the preparation and verification of payment applications and ensure alignment with contractual terms.
- Support and guide the Contract Administrator with Root Cause Analyses (RCAs), Project Cost Alerts (PCAs), and broader contract administration functions.
- Review, evaluate, and negotiate contractor change proposals to ensure accuracy, fairness, and compliance.
- Contribute to cost forecasting, contract change analysis, risk evaluation, and historical quantity benchmarking.
- Monitor contract changes, commitments, and forecasts to ensure robust financial control and reporting.
- Serve as a key interface with Engineering, Contracts, Construction, and Project Controls teams to support clear, consistent, and proactive communication.
- 20+ years of progressive experience in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or Project Controls.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams, with strong coaching and supervisory capability.
- Extensive background in progress measurement, quantity verification, and payment/invoice control on major construction projects (industrial, infrastructure, or similar).
- Deep understanding of contract compliance, commercial risk management, and change‑control processes.
- Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communicator able to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project stakeholders.
- Ability to manage complex commercial issues while driving clarity, accountability, and high‑quality documentation.
