City Cricket Academy (CCA) is one of the UK’s leading cricket development centres, offering high‑quality coaching for players of all ages and abilities. With outstanding indoor and outdoor facilities, we deliver a wide range of programmes including 1:1 coaching, children’s group sessions, and our popular school holiday cricket camps.
We are expanding our coaching team and are looking to appoint three committed and experienced coaches, each contributing to different areas of our programme.
The Role sWe are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Cricket Coaches to support the following areas:
1. 1:1 Coaching Specialist
Focused on delivering tailored individual sessions for players of varying ages and abilities. This role requires strong technical knowledge, the ability to analyse performance, and experience working closely with players and parents.
2. Children’s Group Coaching Coach
Responsible for delivering fun, structured, and engaging group sessions for young players. This role requires excellent group‑management skills, creativity, and experience coaching children in structured environments.
3. School Holiday Camp Coach
Supporting our high‑energy holiday camps, working with mixed‑ability groups throughout the day. This role requires adaptability, enthusiasm, and experience coaching children in busy camp, club, or school settings.
Applicants may express interest in one, two, or all three areas depending on their experience and availability.
Key Responsibilities (across all roles)- Plan, deliver, and review high‑quality coaching sessions appropriate to the programme area.
- Support players’ technical, tactical, physical, and mental development.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and enjoyable learning environment.
- Communicate effectively with players and parents, providing clear feedback.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, safeguarding, and player welfare.
- Contribute to the wider success and values of City Cricket Academy.
- ECB Level 2 (Core Coach) or higher (or international equivalent).
- Proven experience coaching players, with specific experience relevant to 1:1 coaching, group sessions, or holiday camps.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young players.
