We are currently recruiting for the following post:

£35ph, plus £150 per week for accommodation

1x full time, locum Adults Social Worker post in our Stroud Locality Team, based at Redwood House, Beeches Green, Stroud. 3 months initial contract which may be extended.

Candidates must have:

• SWE registration
• Experience as an Adults Social Worker
• Completed an ASYE year or at least 2 years social work experience with a local authority in the UK
• Full, clean driving licence

Our Social Worker must be able to listen hard to the people of Gloucestershire, to understand what really matters and to connect them to resources that help them continue with their chosen life, either with support or independently. You will also be working with individuals to help them to regain control of their lives in a crisis. We use the Three Conversation approach, a model that re-emphasises focus on people, their strengths and the networks and community around them.

What we expect from you:

• Social Worker registered with Social Work England with a completed ASYE year or equivalent demonstrable experience in a statutory social work setting.
• Experience working within Adult Social Care, including working in a multi-agency and court environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the legislation, models, and theories relevant to Adult Social Work.
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a car (exceptions may apply under the Equality Act).

• Capped caseloads at 25;
• Guaranteed minimum 3 month placement (subject to renewal);
• Remote / agile working:
  Localities – first 2 weeks in the office for a robust induction; thereafter a minimum 3 days per week in Stroud Office to undertake visits / meetings / supervision;
  These can be fixed days for consistency, but one of the days ideally be Thursday this can be reviewed at later date.
