Installations Assistant

The Installations Assistant position with Tensor is suitable for technically minded individuals with practical skills in installing equipment such as alarm systems, phone systems, cabling, or other wall-mounted devices.

After initial training, you will join an installation team responsible for installing and servicing equipment. Your duties will include:

This is a field-based role, requiring travel within the UK. Your time will be spent working away from home, staying in hotels, although some work will be local. You should be based in the St Neots, Leicester, or Coventry area.

The Candidate:

We invite applications from motivated individuals eager to learn and develop skills in electronic servicing and installations. A knowledge of computer hardware, electronics, or PCs is advantageous. Candidates should:

• Be self-motivated and eager to learn.
• Hold a full driving license.
• Be competent with basic hand and power tools.
• Be capable of marking out, drilling, and fixing equipment to walls.
• Be able to carry out simple mains wiring.
• Have an interest in electronics and/or computers and practical installation work.
• Be eligible for a Basic DBS Certificate. Ideally, candidates will have GCSEs in science subjects or higher education/training.

The Reward:

• Salary ranges from £23,000 to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, qualifications, and ability.
