Sales Manager

East Midlands - commutable from Nottingham, Coventry, Leicester and surrounding area

to £60k basic + generous benefits and bonus package

Our client can demonstrate almost half a century's expertise in the design, development and manufacture of bespoke special purpose automation and robotic systems for a diverse range of industry sectors and is regarded by many in the industry as one of the leading automation system solution providers in the whole of the UK.

As a result of continued success and a planned programme of strategic growth, they are now seeking to recruit an experienced, driven and highly self‑motivated Senior Technical Sales Manager to complement theirmapping established and successful business development team and maximise opportunities with both existing and new clients through the provision of automation and robotic solution sales.

In this role you will liaise extensively with both internal and external customers in order to develop and grow a realistic pipeline of business from both new and existing clients that will benefit from the portfolio of solutions available, handling any and all enquiries quickly and accurately in order to ensure project success and to achieve your individual sales target.

  • Identify and engage with new and existing clients, attend customer sites to nurture relationships and understand their current and future requirements, and recommend enhancements, modifications or upgrades that will benefit their business.
  • Create and maintain Sales Analysis Sheets for each enquiry received.
  • Report enquiry results in the weekly Sales Meeting and provide visibility of future enquiries and potential market demands or competitor developments.
  • Create financially viable and commercially beneficial quotations for enquiries and review internally before sending to the customer.
  • Understand the budgetary and timescale requirements for each enquiry.
  • Maintain Wordpress continued communication with the customer throughout the life of the enquiry.
  • Set up Sales Handover meetings to transfer details of the order to the technical team and support the project team and customer throughout the project life cycle.

Qualifications andajemtly
  • Previous technical sales management experience gained through working with automation systems, ideally within the medical systems sector.
  • ուշ
  • Qualified to at least HND level or above in a relevant engineering or business‑related discipline.
  • Self‑motivated and organized approach to making the best use of your time, with a high level of commercial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels and flexibility to travel both within the UK and overseas as required.
