The Opportunity:
As a key member of the technical function, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that all customer specifications—for both new and existing products—are completed accurately, maintained to the highest standard, and delivered within strict timelines. You’ll work cross functionally with our internal teams Process, Development, NPD, Commercial and our raw material teams to deliver Gold Standard specifications and ensure products meet compliance, nutritional, and legal requirements.
You will also have direct external communication with our customers (both retailers) and our printers inline with reviewing artworks, you must be happy to be customer facing and have direct interaction with customers and legal bodies.
- Creating and completing customer specifications to an exceptional standard
- Maintaining and updating existing specs through a structured review programme
- Building and issuing bakery recipes for our internal teams
- Compiling and pulling together information for various customers which will cover areas such as Nutritional information, Cooking Validation/Compliance certificates
- Generating and checking pack copy specifications

- 2+ Years experience writing and updating specifications for major UK retailers
- Strong knowledge of food labelling and relevant legislation and a willingness to build upon this knowledge in the group
- Excellent communication, organisation, and prioritisation skills
- High attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
- Ability to work independently and build strong cross department relationships
- Competency in written English and Maths
- Relevant degree (desirable)
