Quality Manager
We’re looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead food safety, legality, and quality standards across our manufacturing site. You’ll play a critical role in maintaining BRC compliance, protecting product integrity, and coaching teams to deliver consistently high standards in a fast-paced food production environment.
The Role
You’ll oversee day-to-day quality operations, ensuring raw materials, in-process, and finished products meet food safety, legal, and customer requirements. You’ll proactively identify and escalate non-conformances, drive continuous improvement, and act as a key technical contact for suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead food safety, quality, and BRC compliance across the site
* Sample and test raw materials, WIP, and finished goods
* Maintain and audit quality documentation, CCPs, HACCP, and prerequisite programs
* Conduct internal audits, GMP audits, traceability exercises, and annual recall tests
* Manage complaints, NCRs, corrective actions, and quality performance reporting
* Oversee environmental testing (water, swabbing, allergens) and supplier approval systems
* Ensure accurate technical information is provided to customers and received from suppliers
* Update and control the Quality Manual, procedures, and records
* Lead by example on compliance, food safety culture, and continuous improvement
* Support cross-functional teams to meet service and operational targets
Essential Skills & Experience
* Quality control experience in a food manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, allergens, and BRC requirements
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing site
* Strong communication and influencing skills across all levels
* Confident using Microsoft Office and quality systems
* Hands-on, resilient, and improvement-focused mindset
Desirable
* Food Safety and Health & Safety training
* Experience in food manufacturing processes
Performance Measures
* Audit outcomes and compliance performance
* Non-conformance and complaint analysis
* Wastage and quality KPIs
* Delivery against operational timelines
