Quality Delivery Engineer
Main
Purpose:
As a Quality Delivery Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all project quality arrangements throughout the project lifecycle, encompassing both internal and external activities. You will conduct audits to assess the implementation of these arrangements and report your findings accordingly. Additionally, you will undertake specific tasks on behalf of the Assurance function as required.
Key Result Areas:
- Implement and manage project quality arrangements to ensure successful delivery.
- Provide expert guidance on quality management, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.
- Establish clear and effective communication channels with all stakeholders, including suppliers.
- Conduct comprehensive internal and external audits to verify compliance with project quality standards.
- Prepare accurate man-hour and cost estimates to support bids and tenders.
- Actively participate in project meetings, contract reviews, and handover sessions.
- Support the project team in resolving quality non-conformances and related challenges.
- Review and approve supplier quality arrangements, ensuring necessary customer approvals are obtained.
- Monitor progress against quality arrangements and escalate concerns to line management as appropriate.
- Collaborate closely with customers to understand their quality assurance, control, and inspection requirements.
- Review project documentation to ensure adherence to quality requirements and specifications.
- Develop quality plans and project-specific procedures, incorporating health, safety, and environmental considerations.
- Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to confirm their understanding of quality and specification requirements.
- Review purchase requisitions and orders for compliance with quality standards.
- Conduct supplier assessments to evaluate and enhance quality performance.
The client seeks an experienced project quality engineer who can rapidly integrate into a specific project and deliver tangible results. This role demands:
• A thorough understanding of the client’s quality requirements
• Ensuring client and regulatory requirements are embedded within the design
• Integrating quality requirements effectively into the supply chain
• Ensuring the supply chain fully comprehends these requirements
• Delivering conforming products accompanied by all relevant documentation.
Knowledge:
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Nuclear industry.
- Strong understanding of pertinent regulations and legislation.
- Familiarity with customer quality requirements.
- Proficiency in ISO 9001 standards.
Other:
- Ideally possess an HNC or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, such as engineering.
- Auditor training is advantageous.
- Willingness to travel across the UK and occasionally overseas
