We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Quality Inspector with hands-on inspection experience of fabricated and folded products.
In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting and measuring components and finished products to ensure they meet the specified quality standards. You will utilize CMM equipment (training provided), visual inspection methods, and a variety of precision measurement tools to verify the quality and accuracy of parts, components, and assemblies.
This is 80% shop floor inspection / 20% metrology room inspection.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform detailed inspections of products and components using CMM machines (training provided).
* Conduct patrol inspection on the shop floor, goods-in and goods-out inspections when required.
* Interpret and analyse measurement data from CMM reports to ensure compliance with internal quality standards.
* Conduct visual inspections and use calipers, micrometres, height gauges, and other hand tools to verify part dimensions.
* Document inspection results accurately and maintain inspection records and reports in compliance with company and industry standards.
* Identify, report, and assist with the resolution of quality issues or non-conformities.
* Collaborate with production teams and engineers to provide feedback and assist in resolving quality concerns.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce waste, and increase production efficiency.
* Participate in audits, quality system reviews, and customer quality inspections as required.
* Conduct reworks when required on rejected parts.
Experience
Required:
* Proven experience as a Quality Inspector (at least 1 year).
* Strong knowledge of precision measurement tools (callipers, micrometres, etc.) and quality control processes.
* Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
* Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8am to 5pm, Friday 8am to 1pm
