Jake & Nayns’ is the market leader in the on-the-go filled naan breads, with its award-winning brand of Naansters – a hand-held, light fluffy naan bread filled with delicious, authentic curries including Chicken Tikka, Beef Madras, Balti Chicken and Chickpea Curry.

Wanting to shake up a static category of burgers and pasties, the two brothers, Jake and Nayns saw an opportunity to provide the masses with an on-the-go option that was tasty, better for you and convenient. Taking two short years to perfect their naan bread to ensure a light fluffy texture, preventing a rubbery and chewy effect after heating in a microwave, meant that the product can be eaten with just one hand and the snack didn’t fall apart - making them ideal for forecourt sales and busy people on-the-go.

The perfect candidate for this role would be someone.

Has Bakery/cooking experience, is essential but manufacturing methods will be taught.

Is methodical and have good organisational skills, work to a high standard under pressure, energetic, accurate attention to detail is key with a can-do attitude.

Ability to work in a small team.

Focused on maintaining excellent standards of personal, food and kitchen hygiene.

Proficient to work unsupervised and be confident communicator.

Flexibility regarding possible overtime in busy periods

Must be able to use computers and iPads for recipe system, full training will be given.

Will work part of a team on two shifts, 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm. Opportunity to work on 8am
-5pm shift eventually.

Will need to work with all food but will need to taste all foods, subject to religious beliefs.

• Support baking/cooking activities with manufacturing methods that will be taught.
• Maintain high standards of personal, food and kitchen hygiene.
• Work effectively in a small team and communicate confidently.
• Be flexible with overtime during busy periods.
• Use computers/iPads for the recipe system (full training provided).
• Operate across two shifts (6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm); potential to move to 8am-5pm.
• Taste foods as required, subject to religious beliefs.
