CAD Designer – Leicester (Office Based)

We are looking for a talented and technically minded CAD Designer to join our team at our Leicester office. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with CAD experience who wants to play an important role in designing innovative solutions used in both manufacturing and sales.

You will work closely with our sales and manufacturing teams to bring bespoke designs to life, helping us deliver high-quality products that meet our customers’ exact needs.

As a CAD Designer, you will be responsible for producing detailed designs for our custom products, including cases and foam inserts. You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure designs are accurate and practical for production.

• Producing CAD drawings for the manufacture of custom cases and foam inserts
• Working with the sales team to support the specification and design process
• Collaborating with the manufacturing team to ensure designs are production ready
• Preparing production drawings for manufacturing

• Alphacam experience
• Using a 3axis CNC routing machine
• Comfortable using measuring equipment
• Experience designing within a manufacturing environment
• Understanding of production processes
• Strong attention to detail and precision
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to manage workloads and meet deadlines

At Potterton Pacs, we specialise in designing and manufacturing custom cases, padded bags, presentation kits, and protective packaging solutions.

Our in-house capabilities include CNC routing, waterjet cutting, and die cutting, allowing us to produce precision foam inserts, tool control trays, and protective packaging for a wide range of applications.

8:30am – 5:00pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30am – 1:00pm on a Friday
