Mechanical Fitter (Machine Build/Assembly)

The company is a niche producer of bespoke machinery used in manufacturing. The role suits mechanical fitters looking for a varied and challenging role.
Pay & BenefitsCompetitive salary dependent on experience, pension, 25 days holiday, bank holidays, uniform, parking, company bonus scheme and death in service benefit.
Hours37.5 hours a week:
Monday to Thursday 08:00 to 16:30, 13:30 Friday finish.
- Fit and assemble new bespoke machines following engineering drawings and build procedures.
- Use hand and power tools to assemble precision components.
- Work with rolling element bearings, shafts, plain bearing, liner bearing, ball screw, lead screw, pneumatic components, sensors, motors and gearboxes.
- Use measuring equipment such as verniers, slip gauges, micrometres.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience fitting/assembling industrial machines or similar.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
