Opportunity OverviewAre you a high-caliber Building Surveying professional ready to take a defining step into a strategic leadership role?
Stafford Lawrence is exclusively partnering with a prestigious, award-winning Multidisciplinary Consultancy on the outskirts of Oxford. We are seeking an Associate Partner to spearhead the Building Surveying division, driving growth within the Commercial, Residential, and world-leading Life Sciences sectors.
This is a "career-pinnacle" appointment. You will transition from pure technical delivery into a role defined by business strategy, high-level client account management, and divisional P&L responsibility.
Key RequirementsTo be successful in this executive-level role, candidates must demonstrate:
- Status: Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or FRICS) is essential.
- Commercial Acumen: A proven track record in business development, fee generation, and maintaining high-value client relationships within the Oxfordshire region.
- Leadership: Experience managing a team of surveyors, overseeing resourcing, and acting as an APC Mentor for the next generation of talent.
- Technical Authority: While leadership-focused, you must remain a technical "touchstone" for complex matters including:
Technical Due Diligence (TDD) for multi-million-pound acquisitions. Complex Dilapidations and Project Monitoring. Strategic advice for R&D and Life Sciences facilities. Network:
An established professional network within the Oxford "Golden Triangle" is highly desirable.
Strategic Leadership & Multidisciplinary Growth. As an Associate Partner, you will sit at the intersection of technical excellence and business growth. Your duties will include:
- Business Development: Identifying and securing new instructions across the Oxford hub, specifically targeting the booming Science & Tech sectors.
- Team Evolution: Leading, motivating, and growing the Building Surveying team, ensuring quality control and professional standards are met across all projects.
- Cross-Discipline
Collaboration:
Working alongside Partners in Project Management and Quantity Surveying to deliver integrated, "one-firm" solutions for blue-chip clients. - P&L Responsibility: Managing departmental budgets, fee forecasting, and ensuring the commercial viability of the surveying division.
The Partnership Track. Our client recognizes that an Associate Partner brings immense value. The package is designed to reflect this:
- Basic Salary: £70,000 – £90,000+ per annum (Negotiable based on experience).
