Are you a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with a passion for developing high‑performing teams and delivering outstanding services? We are seeking an experienced and dynamic OT Team Manager to lead our new and evolving OT Duty Team, ensuring the provision of a responsive, high‑quality Occupational Therapy service.
About the RoleAs an OT Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in offering expert professional advice across all aspects of the OT service. You will use your advanced clinical knowledge to support team members, provide high‑quality supervision, and foster professional development within the team. Your strong leadership will be key in creating a positive and supportive working environment where practitioners are empowered to achieve their best.
We are looking for someone who can develop a new team, bringing vision and initiative to shape our evolving OT Duty Team. You will be instrumental in building team cohesion, establishing effective working practices, and ensuring the team is equipped to deliver a responsive, high‑quality service.
You will be a strategic thinker, capable of aligning team objectives with wider organisational goals and identifying opportunities for improvement and growth. Your ability to write and implement effective policies and procedures and ensure best practice will be vital in embedding new ways of working and delivering lasting change.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues across disciplines, and demonstrate a commitment to high standards, compliance, and continuous improvement. About YouTo apply for this post, you must:
- Hold a degree/diploma in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
- Be able to provide high‑quality clinical occupational therapy advice and guidance across all areas of interventions for both adults and children.
- Possess expertise in occupational therapy techniques, reablement, and asset‑based approaches to social care, along with an understanding of key legislation such as the Care Act, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, Children's Act, and Disabled Facilities Grant.
- Be skilled in supervising, managing and developing staff, addressing concerns promptly and fairly using HR policies and procedures where necessary.
- Demonstrate confidence, diplomacy, persuasion, assertiveness, conflict management, and strong relationship‑building abilities.
- Champion innovative ways of working by embracing new ideas and approaches and support your team by providing clear written guidance or policies to ensure best practice.
- Have experience of risk management and collaborating with wider teams to deliver effective, person‑centred services.
