Role Overview

We will provide a van fully kitted out with all the tools you need, plus you get to choose the workwear that you want.

As a Facilities Maintenance Operative at CCP, you will play a vital role in maintaining buildings that provide supported accommodation to Young People (16‑25) in Wiltshire.

This is a part‑time role, 30 hours per week (flexible spread between Monday‑Friday 08:00‑17:00).

• Utilise your hands‑on maintenance/DIY skills to handle emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, painting, and decorating.
• Maintain outside spaces/grounds and gardens, such as mowing, strimming and hedge trimming.
• Contribute to creating safe, secure, and homely environments for those who may otherwise be homeless.
• Manage your time well ensuring all work is completed in the time allocated.

• Experience in general maintenance, painting and decorating.
• Good physical fitness and ability to carry out manual tasks.
• Valid driving licence and a well‑maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT and insurance covering business use.
• Ability to manage time effectively and complete work within the allocated time.
• Willingness to undergo satisfactory pre‑employment checks and an enhanced Disclosure & Barring Services check.

Annual leave entitlement will be pro‑rata for part‑time staff.

Working on public holidays will be compensated with time off in lieu.

An extra day of leave accrues for each completed financial year (capped at
5). Purchasing additional holidays is capped at 5 per year.

Business mileage (45p a mile) is paid for any daily miles over and above the distance from your home to the allocated workplace location and back.

You’ll need a well‑maintained vehicle with valid tax, MOT and insurance covering business use.

This role is subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks and also an enhanced check by the Disclosure & Barring Services, paid for by CCP.
