Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (Negotiable)

We’re working with a well-established and supportive law firm based in Leicester City Centre that is looking to expand its family law department. This is an excellent opportunity for a Family Solicitor or CILEX with 2 - 3 years PQE who is passionate about family law, advocacy, and delivering high-quality client care.

You will handle a mixed caseload of legal aid and privately funded matters across all areas of family law, with opportunities for courtroom advocacy and career development.

• Manage your own caseload of family matters, including:
• Divorce & separation
• Financial remedy proceedings
• Injunctions
• Children matters (public & private)
• Conduct advocacy at hearings and appointments.
• Provide clear, compassionate legal advice to clients.
• Draft applications, statements, court documentation, and correspondence.
• Work collaboratively within a supportive team environment.
• Opportunity to train as an accredited family mediator as part of the firm’s expanding mediation services.

• Family Solicitor or CILEX with 2 - 3 years PQE.
• Strong advocacy skills and confidence attending hearings.
• Experience with both legal aid and private family law matters.
• Ability to manage a mixed caseload independently.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and client care skills.
• A proactive and empathetic approach to client work.

• Salary between £35,000 - £45,000 (Negotiable), depending on experience.
