Cloud Ops Lead (Azure) - Buckinghamshire

£80,000-£90,000

1 day a week onsite

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Ops Lead to take ownership of the cloud environment, ensuring performance, availability, security, and scalability across the business.

This is a leadership role that combines strategic oversight with technical delivery. You will lead a team of cloud engineers, drive automation and governance best practices, and work closely with development teams to enable robust CI/CD infrastructure.

• Overseeing day-to-day cloud operations, including monitoring, incident response, troubleshooting, and optimisation
• Leading short and long-term project planning (Agile, sprint planning, iteration management)
• Developing and implementing cloud governance, security, and compliance frameworks
• Driving automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) improvements using Terraform and Ansible
• Championing an AI-first approach to infrastructure and operational efficiency
• Supporting and enhancing CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with development teams
• Mentoring and developing a high-performing team of cloud engineers

• 3+ years' hands-on experience with Azure
• Strong expertise in IaC and configuration management tools
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams and delivering cloud infrastructure projects
• Solid understanding of cloud security, governance, and compliance best practices
• Experience supporting CI/CD workflows and Dev Ops environments
• Strong knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, Git Hub, and Web Application Firewalls
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
