Our client, a leading financial services organisation, is seeking a Dev Ops Engineer to join their growing technology team. This is a pivotal role where you’ll be working on complex, large-scale systems that demand reliability, scalability, and security. You’ll collaborate closely with developers, infrastructure specialists, and business stakeholders to deliver automation, streamline deployments, and enhance system performance across critical platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Manage and optimise Linux-based environments, ensuring stability and performance.
- Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python and other relevant languages.
- Deploy, scale, and monitor containerised applications using Kubernetes.
- Work with AWS cloud services to architect and support resilient infrastructure.
- Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions to ensure system health and availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed Dev Ops best practices across the organisation.
- Contribute to security, compliance, and governance initiatives within a regulated environment.
- Strong background in Linux system administration and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, scripting, and tooling.
- Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Solid understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, Cloud Formation, etc.).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or similar).
- Knowledge of infrastructure‑as‑code practices (Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Strong grasp of networking fundamentals and cloud security principles.
- Ability to work collaboratively, solve complex problems, and drive continuous improvement.
