Job OverviewTechnician – 9 months Fixed-term contract (FTC) at De Montfort University.
Job location:
Gateway House. Final date to receive applications: 01/02/2026.
- Prepare practical classes in designated specialist teaching laboratories for staff and students.
- Maintain and provide training, practical assistance and advice in the use of specialist equipment and techniques, primarily supporting Microbiology.
- Assist in updating and developing risk assessments and COSHH in line with University Policy.
- Highly organized and motivated with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Experience in the use of specialist equipment and techniques relevant to the area of work.
- High standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge or experience of working within a technical role in Microbiology would be a stand out candidate.
