We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Fosse Way, a category C Prison located in Glen Parva, Leicestershire.

HMP Fosse Way is a state‑of‑the‑art, resettlement prison designed to prioritise the rehabilitation of residents. It provides skills and qualifications to the men, enabling them to secure meaningful employment on release with the aim of reducing re‑offending rates.

Monday, Tuesday & Friday - 08:00 - 16:30

24 hours or 6 sessions per week

Flexibility can be offered on the number of sessions worked.

This position is part time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £129,500 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a legal right to work in the UK and, due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

• Deliver first class healthcare to a diverse group of patients, and therefore as a General Practitioner at Practice Plus Group you get the opportunity to further develop your knowledge in areas you wouldn’t usually experience within a practice, or even A&E environment.
• Provide clinical assessment and diagnosis to patient requirements and make timely decisions regarding future management.

• MBChB or MBBS
• Inclusion on the GMC Register and GP Performers List
• Evidence of engagement with annual appraisal
• Experience working as a General Practitioner in community general practice
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Ability to work with patients with a history of substance misuse
• RCGP Certificate in Substance Misuse 1 and 2, or prepared to undertake these qualifications
