You must have an In-depth knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Children’s Homes Regulations, Ofsted inspection frameworks.
* Full UK driving licence* (due to travel between homes).

* Monday – Friday 9-5pm plus on-call on request.
* Who we are looking for:
* A Registered Manager or Deputy Manager with at least your level 3 diploma and 18 months experience, skilled in supporting children with complex needs, who possesses excellent interpersonal skills, has a strong attention to detail and a natural relationship builder
Our already established and highly reputable client needs a specialist Registered Manager (skilled in Ofsted inspection) to join them in leading their newest children’s homes based within the Leicestershire region. The team are incredibly passionate about the work that they do, who shares that same passion and takes pride in making a difference to a younger person’s life.
If you have experience in multisite or dual management, this is highly advantageous.
* We are also willing to consider a Deputy Manager with at least a Level 3 diploma who is looking for the next step in their career and has been exposed to the day-to-day management of a home.
* * About the home:
* Caring for children between the ages of 8-18, learning life skills, providing for their educational needs.
A multidisciplinary team supports the children, including support workers, mental health nurses, psychiatrists and psychologists. Consulting with families and any other person of authority in the child’s life.
The children are often suffering with (SEMH) Social, Emotional, and Mental Health concerns and challenging behaviours.
* Responsibilities:
* * It is essential you lead the home, with empathy and an objective and non-bias approach and that you implement that same culture and practice across all staff.
* You will run the home, from leading on the Ofsted, regulations, inspections and safeguarding to recruitment and training new and existing staff members.
* Leading day-to-day operations, such as budgets, resources, exploring tools for reasonable adjustments, accurate record taking and implementing safe and efficient processes.
* Consulting with authorities, schools and learning providers. Arranging events, staffing Rota’s and allocation of work.
* Working alongside, the Responsible individual, you will maintain the home to a high standard with regards to Ofsted and be continually looking for ways to improve the home and the children’s quality of life.
* Looking at the best ways to manage complex behaviours, individualise package of care and work in a holistic and empathetic manner.
* Complete regular audits and mitigate any risks through continuously reviewing safeguarding measures.
* Support Deputy’s in managing children’s care plans, improved learning, and training to ensure of consistent and excellent services delivered, to the home.
* Essential:
* * Minimum of 2 years' leadership experience in a children’s residential care setting (multi-site experience desirable).
* Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and regulatory frameworks.
* Demonstrated experience supporting children with complex SEMH needs.
* Additional training in therapeutic models or trauma-informed approaches is highly desirable.
