  • Full time: 36 hours per week
Duties Include
  • Support people with disabilities, including profound and complex needs, using person‑centred approaches to enable them to achieve positive outcomes as defined in their support plan.
  • Perform basic daily duties including medication administration, cooking, cleaning, and paperwork/audits.
  • Provide emotional and practical support for the people you support and the team.
  • Help the people in our care access community facilities and be included in community groups.
  • Build robust relationships with the people in our care to promote independence and improve quality of life.
  • Empower the people in our care to learn new skills or pursue hobbies and interests.
  • Accurately report, record, and maintain records as required and working to care plans.
  • Complete and support audits and medication rounds.
  • Support the Team Leader with the daily running of the shift.
Person Specifications
  • Minimum of 1 year’s experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs.
  • A full UK manual driving licence is desirable.
  • An NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable.
  • The ability to multi‑task.
  • Good time management, organisation, attention to detail and flexibility.
  • IT literate.
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude.
  • Good communication skills.
  • You must have a compassionate, caring, positive personality.
  • Possess a genuine passion for making a real difference in people’s lives.
  • Able to manage challenging behaviour and conflict.
  • Works well as part of a team as well as individually.
