Multi-site Health and Safety Manager | Leicester | £60,000 + Excellent Benefits

Are you an experienced Health and Safety Manager who can balance strategic direction with hands‑on, site‑based delivery in a diverse manufacturing environment? Are you comfortable operating with autonomy on site while working closely with plant leadership and navigating group‑level oversight within an international business? Do you thrive in challenging, operational settings where you are trusted to drive practical change, influence stakeholders, and improve safety performance?

If these questions resonate, this Health and Safety Manager role may be of interest. The business is well established with a strong track record across the UK and Europe, this position holding responsibility for two manufacturing sites within that wider operation.

Responsibilities
  • Ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation while aligning site practices with wider international, group health and safety standards.
  • Providing visible, hands‑on leadership across two manufacturing plants, supporting operational teams in both fast and heavy manufacturing environments.
  • Driving engagement and accountability at all levels to embed a practical and effective safety culture.
  • Leading audits, inspections, and incident investigations, ensuring clear reporting and robust corrective actions.
  • Working closely with Plant Management, HR, Group Health and Safety, and external bodies to deliver ongoing safety improvement and project activity.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in a senior Health and Safety role within a manufacturing or general industrial environment, with the credibility to operate at both strategic and operational level.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or working towards), with a strong grounding in UK Health and Safety legislation and best practice.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience engaging colleagues and a wide range of stakeholders.
  • A practical, pragmatic approach, with the confidence to operate autonomously on site while working within a wider group structure.
Benefits
  • The opportunity to work within a large, international organisation with access to group‑level support, projects, and European collaboration.
  • £60,000 salary package, private healthcare, matched pension, and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Long‑term stability within a well‑established business, working alongside experienced site and group leadership teams.

This is a pivotal role for a confident, hands‑on professional who can work autonomously, lead by example, and establish structure and accountability from day one. If you are interested and have the required experience, please contact Ben Francis on or +44 (0) (phone number removed).
