Housekeeper, Healthcare

As a housekeeper working in maternity at University Hospital Leicester, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for mothers, babies, and staff.

You will ensure that clinical and non-clinical areas are cleaned to a high standard, restock essential supplies, support infection‑prevention practices, and assist with the organisation of patient areas to help the unit run smoothly. By providing reliable practical support, housekeepers contribute to the comfort and wellbeing of families and help the maternity clinical teams focus on delivering high quality maternity care.

You will need to be friendly and approachable with excellent communication and organisational skills, as you will come into contact with patients and families.

The post holder is required to use their initiative and take responsibility for themselves and the quality of their work and the service they provide to patients.

Vacancy for this post is available at the Leicester General Hospital. You must be able to work a mixture of nights, long days, weekends and bank holidays.
