Clinical Lead - Recovery

Position at Nuffield Health Leicester Hospital – Permanent, Full time. Salary:
Up to £52,600 per annum.

Hours:

37.5 per week.

Overview

You are registered with the appropriate governing body, hold the relevant qualifications and post‑registration experience in surgery or anaesthetics, and are a Registered Nurse or HCPC Registered Operating Department Practitioner. You bring strong clinical leadership, excellent communication, and organisational skills, with a keen understanding of running a smooth and effective department and its equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct and organise the Clinical/Surgical and Endoscopy team within theatre, ensuring smooth running of theatre lists, organising booking forms, and assisting sessions in theatres.
  • Work collaboratively and flexibly across the theatre suites to accommodate the service demands of each department, including Endoscopy, General, Orthopaedics, Gynaecology.
  • Promote effective clinical risk management and governance within the department, including safety, risk management, quality improvement, and ensuring policies and procedures enhance patient care and service delivery.
  • Handle audits and equipment management, demonstrating extensive knowledge of surgical techniques and associated equipment.
  • Take advantage of ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, including Surgical First Assist training.
Qualifications

Registered with the appropriate governing body, holding post‑registration experience in surgery/anaesthetics. Proven clinical leadership, excellent communication and organisational skills, and a strong understanding of department operations and equipment.
