Healthcare Assistant

Joint Diagnostic World as a Healthcare Assistant working in community-based Health Centres. As a healthcare assistant, you will provide the best patient care while assisting Sonographers during ultrasound scanning procedures for NHS patients.

Valid driver’s licence and access to a car essential.

Your Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Transport portable ultrasound scanner and equipment between practices as required.
  • Carry out patient care duties and assist Sonographers, acting as a chaperone during clinics, including the use of IT equipment.
  • Provide aftercare for patients following scanning procedures.
  • Assist sonographers with cleaning requirements.
  • Ensure clinic rooms are clean and restored to their original state.
  • Adhere to company policy and procedures concerning health & safety, data protection, and confidentiality.
  • Maintain inventory of clinical disposables and replenish as required in conjunction with the Clinic Manager.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Excellent patient care and communication skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing professional personality.
  • Ability to work as part of a small, focused team.
  • Eligibility to reside and work in the UK.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • The ability to plan and prioritise work.
  • Good IT skills.

Role requires availability to work up to 37.5 hours per week, with occasional weekend shifts.
