Financial Manager, Corporate Finance
The Accountancy & Finance division is exclusively partnering with a well-established and growing business to recruit an experienced Financial Controller. This newly created role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a clear progression path towards a future Finance Director position.
Working closely with the Managing Director and a small finance team, the successful candidate will play a key role in strengthening financial controls, enhancing the accuracy of financial reporting, and supporting the business through an exciting period of growth. This position would suit a commercially minded qualified accountant who enjoys working closely with senior stakeholders and making a meaningful impact in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain strong financial processes and controls to minimise financial risk
- Ensure ongoing financial and legislative compliance across the business
- Support the documentation and review of key operating procedures
- Manage the daily cash position and oversee cash flow reporting
- Develop accurate cash flow forecasts to support strategic decision making
- Assist with the timely and accurate production of management accounts
- Provide financial insight and analysis on business performance
- Deliver commercial analysis on business units and asset performance
- Support scenario planning to guide informed business decisions
- Assist with the migration of ERP systems from Xero to Business Central
- Review and improve existing business systems to maximise efficiency and data accuracy
- Support the Managing Director with ad hoc projects and financial initiatives
- Work closely with the wider group finance function to deliver accurate financial information
Skills & Experience Required
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) with relevant experience
- Strong experience building financial controls and financial reporting processes
- Knowledge of VAT and CIS within construction or similar environments
- Strong Excel skills (intermediate to advanced)
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment
- Experience working with Business Central, MSC, or Xero
- Previous involvement in ERP or finance system implementations
