This role leads advisory work across international tax and M&A transactions for a varied client base. You'll also manage complex compliance projects and key relationships while supporting the wider team.

Description- Lead and review corporate tax compliance across a broad and varied client portfolio, ensuring technical accuracy and high‑quality outputs.
- Take ownership of advisory projects involving international tax, reorganisations, demergers, due diligence and M&A structuring, acting as a primary point of contact for clients and intermediaries.
- Proactively identify tax planning opportunities and deliver commercially focused, practical solutions that add value for clients.
- Manage complex project delivery from scoping through to completion, allocating work, reviewing outputs and ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Provide advanced technical insight on areas such as loss relief planning, interest restriction, CFC rules, consolidated tax disclosures and the tax treatment of exceptional items.
- Maintain a strong awareness of tax legislation and emerging developments, guiding both clients and the team on their impact.
- Work collaboratively across service lines to ensure cohesive delivery of corporate, international and transactional tax services.
- Lead, mentor and develop junior team members, contributing to their training, performance reviews and long‑term growth.
A successful Tax Manager – Corporate (International & M&A) should have:
- At least four years’ experience in corporate tax, with strong exposure to international tax, reorganisations, due diligence and M&A projects.
- Advanced technical capability across corporate tax compliance, tax accounting, loss relief, interest restriction, group issues and complex corporate disclosures.
- ATT/CTA and/or ACA qualified.
- A detail‑driven approach and the ability to interpret, apply and explain complex legislation.
- Strong working knowledge of tax software (Alphatax beneficial) and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Proven organisational skills, able to oversee multiple workflows, delegate effectively and manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to spot risks, opportunities and areas for tax planning.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of managing client relationships and supporting the wider team.
