Role Overview
As a Finance Clerk, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes across the business. You’ll support both routine and month-end activities and act as a dependable point of contact for finance-related queries.
Key Responsibilities
Process purchase invoices, sales invoices, and credit notes accurately and on time as a Finance Clerk
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as a Finance Clerk
Reconcile bank statements and supplier accounts
Maintain organised and accurate financial records and filing systems
Assist with month-end tasks, including journals and reconciliations
Respond to finance queries from internal teams and suppliers as a Finance Clerk
Support management with financial reports when needed
Follow internal controls and company procedures as a Finance Clerk
Handle general administrative tasks within the finance department as a Finance Clerk
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a finance, accounts, or clerical role
Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail
Basic understanding of accounting principles
Confident user of Microsoft Excel and Office apps
Strong organisational and time-management skills as a Finance Clerk
Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
Desirable
Experience using accounting or ERP systems
AAT Level 2 or 3 (or currently studying)
Experience working in a fast-paced finance environment
Personal Attributes
Reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information
Proactive, eager to learn, and adaptable
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Able to work both independently and collaboratively
