The RoleWe’re looking for an experienced AAT-qualified Accountant to take on a broad and interesting position within the finance team. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on ownership, accuracy, and getting stuck into everything from month‑end reporting to import financials.

Key ResponsibilitiesYou’ll be hands‑on with a wide range of duties, including:
- Month‑end reporting and producing first‑draft management accounts
- Accounts payable & receivable
- Managing the financial aspects of imports (Far East & EU)
- Ensuring VAT and Duty are correctly accounted for
- Supplier payments
- Cash receipts and cashflow
- General ledger maintenance
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Revenue & expenditure variance analysis
- Account reconciliations
- Fixed asset activity
- Debt activity
- Ad‑hoc finance tasks
- Conducting credit checks on new customers
- Team management and supporting continuous process improvement
- Liaising with operations as needed
- AAT-qualified (completed)
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a busy finance department
- Excellent computer and communication skills
- Strong organisational ability and impeccable attention to detail
- Confident working under pressure and managing deadlines
- Experience in team management
- Understanding of import/export finance processes (Far East & EU)
- Able to work independently and collaboratively
