INTERIM FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

Our client is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Interim Finance Controller to provide strong financial leadership and operational support during a transitional period. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring robust financial controls, and delivering accurate and timely financial reporting to support business decision‑making.

This is a part‑time role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who can quickly add value in a fast‑paced environment.

• Oversee monthly management accounts preparation and reporting
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information
• Deliver variance analysis, forecasts, and financial insights
• Support budgeting and reforecasting processes
• Prepare board and management reporting packs

• Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accounting requirements
• Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and review processes
• Support audit processes where required

• Supervise finance team members where applicable
• Review payroll, VAT returns, and statutory submissions
• Identify process improvements and efficiencies
• Support systems or process changes during the interim period

• Provide financial guidance to senior management
• Support commercial decision‑making with financial analysis
• Assist with strategic projects or change initiatives as required

• A Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• A Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance lead
• An Experience in interim or contract roles desirable
• A Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
• A Hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
• A Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A Ability to quickly understand business operations and priorities
