INTERIM FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
Leicester
Our client is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Interim Finance Controller to provide strong financial leadership and operational support during a transitional period. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring robust financial controls, and delivering accurate and timely financial reporting to support business decision‑making.
This is a part‑time role suited to a commercially minded finance professional who can quickly add value in a fast‑paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities Financial Management and Reporting- Oversee monthly management accounts preparation and reporting
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial information
- Deliver variance analysis, forecasts, and financial insights
- Support budgeting and reforecasting processes
- Prepare board and management reporting packs
- Maintain and improve financial controls and processes
- Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and accounting requirements
- Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital
- Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and review processes
- Support audit processes where required
- Supervise finance team members where applicable
- Review payroll, VAT returns, and statutory submissions
- Identify process improvements and efficiencies
- Support systems or process changes during the interim period
- Provide financial guidance to senior management
- Support commercial decision‑making with financial analysis
- Assist with strategic projects or change initiatives as required
- A Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
- A Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance lead
- An Experience in interim or contract roles desirable
- A Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
- A Hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail
- A Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- A Ability to quickly understand business operations and priorities
- A Proactive and solutions‑focused
- A Able to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- A Comfortable operating in changing or transitional environments
- A Strong organisational and problem‑solving skills

A GBP 55,000 p/a prorated, approx., 24 hrs per week (3 days) 9:5.
