This pivotal leadership role, reporting to the CFO, is for someone who combines technical excellence with a genuine passion for people, culture, and doing things the right way.
It is also an opportunity to step into a highly visible role at the heart of the finance leadership team, shaping how the business reports, governs, and grows.
The Opportunity- You will lead the Group's financial accounting function, setting the standard for integrity, quality, and best practice across statutory reporting, audit, tax, treasury, and control
- Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders and the Board, bringing clarity, insight, and sound judgement to complex financial matters
- Own the half–year and year–end processes, ensuring a smooth, well–governed audit experience and high–quality external reporting
- Champion strong financial controls while continuously improving processes, systems, and ways of working
- Lead and develop high–performing financial accounting, transactional, and credit control teams, creating an environment where people feel supported, challenged, and able to grow
- Role–model professionalism, collaboration, and accountability across the wider finance function
- Build strong relationships across finance, FP&A, and the wider business, encouraging open communication and constructive challenge
- Play a key role in fostering a positive, engaged, and forward–thinking finance culture
- Qualified accountant (ACA preferred) with 5+ years' post–qualification experience
- Strong technical accounting background, ideally within a PLC or similarly complex environment
- Proven experience leading teams and operating at a senior functional level
- Confident communicator who can translate complex finance into clear, meaningful insight
- A leader with high integrity, sound judgement, and a continuous–improvement mindset
- Working knowledge of IFRS is highly advantageous
