Salary: £43,860 - £47,829 per annum
Working Hours: 37 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Transport Analyst post within the Network Data & Intelligence Team in the Environment & Transport Department to support the growing demands of the department and external clients.
The successful candidate will develop, implement and maintain tools/systems/data sets that support the department and external clients.
About the RoleYou will enjoy the challenge of analysing complex problems to develop and implement technical solutions using a range of technologies such as Python, SQL and QGIS.
A lateral thinker, you will be able to draw on a range of experience and expertise to provide options and alternative approaches within time and budget constraints.
You will be able to combine analysis and creativity to provide innovative insights for large datasets producing outputs that are easily understandable and accessible to support an evidence led decision making process.

About YouTo apply for this post, you must have:
- Significant experience as detailed below.
- Detailed knowledge of the Traffic Data Collection industry including Modelling, Data quality management principles and Commissioning and procurement processes.
- Use of specialist coding and GIS software to develop new technological solutions that better utilise existing data that allow presentation of complex analysis to large audiences.
- Successful management of projects, including experience of innovating to improve organisational and service issues.
- Experience of working with complex datasets and bespoke applications to extract and perform complex statistical analysis of large data sets to produce and present insights.
- Interpreting and writing technical and nontechnical reports and providing technical advice to a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Building positive relationships that foster open and transparent collaborative working with customers and key stakeholders based on trust that deliver meaningful outputs and outcomes.
