Due to continued growth and international expansion, our client is looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to support both ongoing production and new product development.

This is a genuinely varied position. You will divide your time between enhancing existing products and contributing to R&D initiatives, working across a diverse engineered product portfolio. No two weeks will look the same.

You will report directly to the Engineering Director within a flat organisational structure. Micromanagement is not the culture here — you will be trusted to manage your own workload, take initiative and drive projects forward.

In this role, you will:

• Take ownership of mechanical design projects from concept through to manufacture
• Improve and refine live production products, solving real-world engineering challenges
• Collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to bring ideas into reality
• Develop and maintain high-quality technical drawings and documentation
• Prototype, test and iterate designs using in-house equipment and systems
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across multiple product lines
• See the tangible impact of your decisions on finished products shipped globally
