As a Senior Technical Designer at Modus, your primary purpose is to lead the technical design and coordination processes, ensuring the seamless execution of high-quality workspace interiors from concept to completion. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between innovative design concepts and their technical realisation, guaranteeing compliance, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness across all projects. This role exists to uphold Modus' commitment to design excellence and our B-Corp values in every technical detail, ensuring our projects are not only aesthetically pleasing but also robustly engineered and compliant.

• Lead Design Coordination: Spearhead the technical design coordination process, ensuring seamless integration and collaboration between interior designers, technical teams, and construction professionals.
• Oversee Technical Documentation: Oversee the production of detailed Revit models and comprehensive technical drawing packages, ensuring strict compliance with industry regulations, building codes, and client requirements.
• Manage Technical Design Process: Manage the technical design process end-to-end, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness throughout project execution. This includes producing and managing full technical documentation.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Act as a key liaison with specialist sub-contractors, engineers, and commercial teams to facilitate the delivery of high-quality workplace interiors, resolving technical challenges proactively.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct regular site visits to oversee installations, resolve complex design challenges, and ensure strict adherence to specifications and quality standards. Collaborate extensively with building control officers and external consultants to guarantee compliance with all necessary statutory regulations.

• The technical execution and delivery of projects, evidenced by minimal technical revisions post-design freeze and high-quality construction outcomes.
• The accuracy and completeness of all Revit models and technical drawing packages, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• The effective and timely resolution of technical challenges, demonstrating proactive problem-solving and collaboration.
• Positive feedback from internal teams (design, project management, construction) and external stakeholders (clients, sub-contractors, consultants) regarding technical coordination and documentation clarity.
• Contribution to a culture of continuous improvement within the technical design process, seeking out and implementing efficiencies and best practices.
• Adherence to project budgets and timelines related to technical design deliverables.
