The Energy Transition team within our Energy unit is looking for Piping designers to strengthen the existing Mechanical team; providing design capabilities across a variety of power and energy projects types and technologies in a growing portfolio, supporting our clients in the UK and across Europe as part of the energy transition.

• Working with the project team to develop cost‑effective, efficient and innovative solutions to complex problems to create practical designs based on these solutions
• Working on projects in a variety of stages of maturity, including Feasibility Studies, FEED Studies and Detailed Design;
  Coordinating with a team and as part of a multi‑disciplinary project, interfacing with other discipline’s technical leads, project engineer, project manager and customer
• Preparation of deliverables such as: 3D modelling of piping systems, preparation of isometric drawings, preparation of piping layouts and preparation of Piping Material Take‑offs (pipe and fittings, insulation, painting)
• Supporting development of plant layouts (2&3D) and plant 3D models
• Working with equipment vendors on developing designs of equipment packages and participating in technical evaluations of vendor designs
• Support in developing proposals and bids for the mechanical discipline
• Understand CDM and other relevant HSE legislation
• Support the technical leadership and governance of the Piping and project team
• Experienced Piping designer, with demonstratable knowledge of standards and best practices of the piping design
• Ability to adapt and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment
• Proficiency in piping modelling software such as Aveva E3D / PDMS or similar
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Knowledge of cold piping design
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings
