Full-time Position

We are seeking a dedicated, creative, and passionate Performing Arts (Drama) Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Leicester. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students through Drama and the wider Performing Arts curriculum, fostering confidence, creativity, and self‑expression in a supportive learning environment.

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Drama and Performing Arts lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students can thrive.
• Use a range of practical, theoretical, and performance‑based teaching strategies to engage learners.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations (where applicable).
• Support and lead school productions, showcases, and extracurricular drama activities.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Arts faculty and across the wider school.
• Communicate effectively with parents/carers regarding student progress and development.
• Participate in departmental meetings, whole‑school initiatives, and ongoing professional development.

• A Bachelor's degree in Drama, Performing Arts, Education, or a related field.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS).
• Strong subject knowledge across practical and theoretical Drama.
• A passion for Performing Arts and the ability to inspire creativity and confidence in students.
• Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• The flexibility, resilience, and enthusiasm to work with diverse learners.
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting (preferred).
