Clarence Recruitment is seeking an experienced and motivated Computer Science Teacher to join a welcoming, co-educational secondary school in Leicester. This long-term maternity cover presents an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality Computer Science lessons within a supportive and well-resourced department.
This role is ideal for a dedicated Computer Science specialist who is committed to inspiring students and developing their understanding of technology, programming, and digital literacy across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable).

The Role

As a Computer Science Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
Teach core topics such as programming, algorithms, data representation, and computer systems
Inspire students through creative and clear teaching approaches
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school policies
Differentiate lessons to support students of mixed abilities
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and focused classroom environment
Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
Uphold safeguarding procedures and promote student wellbeing at all times

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Proven experience teaching Computer Science in a UK secondary school
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom management skills
The ability to motivate, challenge, and support learners of all abilities
A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and professional conduct
