Pay: £168.80 – £232.58 per day (Qualified Teachers, DOE)

GSL Education Leicester is working in partnership with a ‘Good’ rated secondary school in Leicester (LE5) to appoint a Design & Technology Teacher / Instructor for a long-term, ongoing role starting after February half term
.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and well-led school with strong behaviour systems and a welcoming department. The role will involve teaching KS3 Design & Technology and Food Technology
, alongside KS4 Product Design
, delivering engaging, practical lessons that inspire creativity and technical skill.

Teaching KS3 DT and Food Technology

Teaching KS4 DT (Product Design)

Planning and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum

Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

Maintaining high standards of health & safety within workshops and food rooms

Working collaboratively with a dedicated DT department

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Has recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4 DT
, including Food Technology

Is confident delivering practical and theory-based lessons

Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills

Holds a clear DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to apply)

Competitive daily rates between £168.80 – £232.58
, depending on experience

Long-term, stable role in a ‘Good’ Ofsted-rated school

Ongoing support from a dedicated GSL Education consultant
