The role

You will join an enthusiastic team working in modern teaching and research facilities. The role is full time and is based in Leicester, UK at the Leicester School of Pharmacy. You will be expected to make a full contribution to teaching mathematical principles and study skills essential for science subjects and pharmacy at level 3 / undergraduate level across our programmes.

You will also contribute to teaching in areas that reflect your scientific expertise. You may be asked to support delivery of post-graduate teaching. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the School’s research profile.

Ideal Candidate

You will hold a BSc (Hons) in a subject with a significant mathematical content. A PhD in a laboratory Science related field, and in-depth subject knowledge in a science discipline relevant to the School’s undergraduate provision, are highly desirable. You will bring experience in teaching and assessing at level 3 and demonstrate the ability to contribute to research aligned with the School’s strategic priorities.

Essential qualities include strong interpersonal and communication skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. You will also demonstrate a clear commitment to academic citizenship, actively contributing to the wider academic community. A recognised teaching qualification is desirable, although not essential.
