SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Autism Support) – Primary School – Nuneaton

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Nuneaton is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a young girl with autism. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone patient, caring and committed to helping children succeed in school.

You’ll work closely with the class teacher and SEN team, supporting learning, communication and confidence in a nurturing environment where staff and pupils are truly valued.

The Role
Provide 1:1 classroom support for a pupil with autism
Help her engage in learning, build independence and develop social skills
Support communication, emotional regulation and positive routines
Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs
Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and parents
Create a calm, encouraging and supportive learning space

About You
Warm, patient and understanding
Experience supporting children with autism (desirable)
Passionate about working with SEND pupils
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Positive, reliable and dedicated to consistent support
