Job Title:
Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst
Location:
West Midlands (including Birmingham, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, and surrounding areas)
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
Working Hours:
38 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Leave: 25 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
About the Role:
Our client is seeking a qualified and experienced Asbestos Surveyor/Analyst to join their team. The successful candidate will undertake a variety of asbestos surveys—including Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition—across commercial, domestic, and industrial properties, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct asbestos surveys in line with HSG
264 and company procedures.
* Collect bulk samples and ensure safe handling and transportation to accredited laboratories.
* Produce detailed and accurate survey reports using industry software.
* Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and site personnel.
* Maintain equipment and PPE in accordance with company policies.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
* BOHS Por RSPH equivalent) qualification – essential.
* Minimum of 1 year of experience in asbestos surveying.
* Full UK driving licence – essential.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent report-writing skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Willingness to travel and work occasional nights/weekends if required.
Desirable:
* Experience with TEAMS asbestos reporting software.
* Knowledge of UKAS accreditation requirements.
