About the Role:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Agency Support Worker to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in a residential children’s home in Leicester. This role involves working closely with the child to meet their individual needs, support their development, and promote positive outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide consistent 1:1 care and support to the child in line with their individual care plan.

* Build positive relationships based on trust, empathy, and respect.

* Support educational, social, and emotional development.

* Encourage positive behavior and model appropriate social interactions.

* Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to senior staff.

* Work collaboratively with the wider team, including external professionals when required.

Person Specification / Requirements:

* Previous experience working in a children’s home or similar setting is essential.

* Experience providing 1:1 support to children with complex needs.

* Understanding of child development and safeguarding principles.

* Ability to remain patient, calm, and professional in challenging situations.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required.
