Estimating Manager - East Anglia - pa;

Job Overview

Salary: £30k to £35k per annum (depending on experience).

An established print and packaging company which provides bespoke services to a large and diverse range of customers has an opening for a professional with a solid understanding of print and/or packaging processes to manage an Estimating Team.

• Manage and oversee the Estimating Team, delegating tasks to subordinates and communicating with superiors from other divisions of the organisation.
• Proactively develop strategies and solutions to ensure the department and the systems run smoothly and accurately.
• Ensure quality, planning, monitoring and commitment in the team, delivering flexible service that balances best price and profitability.

• Good knowledge of a recognised MIS system including the print estimating and ordering modules, with experience of developing the estimating side of the software.
• Experience managing a small team, confident in delegating, able to communicate with team members and higher‑level staff.
• Strong organisational skills, ability to cope under pressure, meet strict deadlines and provide excellent customer service internally and to external clients.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including e‑mail and Microsoft Office competency, and ability to negotiate with out‑work suppliers.
• Must be a resident of the UK and have recent experience in the print, packaging or paper sectors.
