Basepay range
You will receive a competitive salary based on your skills and experience. Talk with your recruiter to learn more.
- Salary: £24,000, rising to £25,500 after 6‑month probation, and £26,000 after 12 months
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hrs), part‑time requests considered
- Location: Office‑based in central Leicester (free parking) with 4 WFH days per month
- Benefits: TOIL system, 10% company pension
What You’ll Do
- Act as the main contact and account lead for your allocated schools and colleges
- Build and maintain positive relationships with school staff and employers
- Contact existing and new employers to secure high‑quality work experience opportunities
- Process student applications and match young people to suitable placements based on their interests
- Support schools on‑site with assemblies, queries, and placement preparation
- Communicate effectively with employers and school contacts via phone, email, and in person
- Help promote social mobility and challenge stereotypes through inclusive placement opportunities
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM database
- Collect evaluation data, insights, and impact stories
- Represent Work Experience at events including assemblies, careers fairs, parent evenings, and business networking sessions
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and data‑protection procedures
- Manage incident/accident reporting in line with LEBC processes

Person Specification
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs A‑C (or equivalent), including English
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Confident telephone manner
- Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and team‑focused approach
- Problem‑solving ability and adaptability
- Empathy for young people and understanding of the challenges they may face
- Basic understanding of safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience using CRM systems
- Experience in customer‑focused or target‑driven environments
- Sales/marketing experience
- Understanding of the local labour market
- Full driving licence
Additional Information
- Driving licence and own transport: highly desirable
- LEBC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Background checks and an Enhanced DBS will be required for this role.
