Your role

Job Title: Credit & Risk Insight Analyst

Location: Head Office, Leicestershire (Hybrid working 1 day a week in the office)

Salary: Up to £45,000 base plus bonus & benefits

As an analyst you will join our growing Credit and Risk Analytics team within Finance. You will be responsible for analysing and setting the lending strategy for our £1.3 B credit portfolio and using data to drive insight on how to optimise the customer proposition and business profit. You’ll work with over 3 million credit customers, designing, testing and implementing strategy changes to help grow the business.

Responsibilities
  • Produce regular reporting and carry out ad‑hoc analyses, commenting on trends and adding value through ideas and solutions.
  • Identify risks and opportunities in current processes and rules through complex analysis, using multiple data sources.
  • Collaborate with Senior Analysts to deliver suitable portfolio strategies across contact centre, marketing, customer experience, and tech teams, becoming an expert on credit risk and data.
  • Build and present reporting and monitoring related to credit risk at internal meetings when required.
About You
  • Minimum 2 years experience in an analyst position, ideally in consumer lending or financial services, with a highly numerate/analytical background.
  • Natural problem solver who enjoys working logically.
  • Eye for detail and drive to dissect complex business challenges across multiple sources of insight.
  • Experience working with SQL or Databricks;
    Python knowledge is a bonus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to present insights and gain buy‑in for change.
